Concept to Casting 2024

We are looking to recruit delegates for cohort 2!!

Summary
This programme is being delivered by ICME and ECMS, working in collaboration.
It has been designed to give you the technical and practical education you will need to complete and progress in the foundry and cast metals industry.
You will develop an understanding of most main processes, including the underlying principles.

Course content & duration
This course is modular and is intended to cover the main processing steps in sand casting - specific modules can betaken separately if requested. The course is built with seven modules to run over six months. Each module will be delivered over three days, giving a total of 147 guided learner hours for the complete course.

The course will take the learner from the initial drawing stage of a part, through to methoding, simulation*,patternmaking, moulding, casting and ending with a finished casting with a dimensional report.
